[DL] One 4-years PhD grant on ontology-based knowledge transformation and reasoning

We are offering one 4-years PhD grant on themes of ontology-based knowledge
transformation and reasoning.
The position is offered by the faculty of Computer Science of the Free
University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy) jointly with the Data and Knowledge
Management unit at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Trento (Italy) where most of
the research activities will be conducted.

The deadline for applications will be on the *30th of June, 2021*.

We are looking for students interested in topics related to:
- Ontology-mediated transformation of knowledge structures for efficient
migration
- Reasoning with weighted information to handle context and exceptions

The Data and Knowledge Management unit (https://dkm.fbk.eu/) is a research
group internationally known for its activity in fields of logic-based
representation of knowledge, logical-statistical inference, Semantic Web
systems and knowledge acquisition methods.
The PhD will be conducted under the joint supervision of Dr. Loris Bozzato
(DKM) and a member of the CS faculty of UniBZ.
