Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions to the 4th Workshop on Artificial
Intelligence for Cultural Heritage (IAICH26), co-located with the 24th
International Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial
Intelligence AIxIA 2026 https://aixia2026.unipg.it, which will take place
in Perugia (Italy) from 6 to 9 october 2026.

IAICH26 aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, professionals,
policy makers, and stakeholders interested in the application of Artificial
Intelligence to Cultural Heritage. The workshop promotes interdisciplinary
and multidisciplinary research on tangible and intangible cultural
heritage, encouraging the use of AI models, methodologies, and tools for
the study, preservation, documentation, accessibility, dissemination, and
valorisation of cultural heritage.
The workshop also welcomes contributions addressing ethical, legal,
societal, and sustainability issues related to the management, delivery,
conservation, and public engagement of cultural heritage.
*Topics* of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Cultural Heritage ontologies and vocabularies
- Linked Data and Knowledge Graphs for Cultural Heritage
- Multimedia and multilingual data management
- Intangible heritage representation and processing
- Intelligent management systems in Cultural Heritage
- Learning, reasoning, mining, and indexing of CH data
- Large Language Models for Cultural Heritage
- Generative AI for Cultural Heritage
- Deep Learning, Vision Transformers, and Foundation Models for CH analysis
- LLM-based tools for archives, museums, libraries, and heritage collections
- Language technologies and document processing
- Acquisition, conservation, restoration, and long-term preservation
- Workflow management in Cultural Heritage
- Visualization, Extended Reality, gamification, and storytelling
- Accessibility, inclusion, and public engagement in Cultural Heritage
- Museum, exhibition, library, archive, and tourism applications
- Tools for education, documentation, and training
- Societal, professional, ethical, legal, and DRM-related issues
We invite original, unpublished contributions that are not under review
elsewhere.
*Submission types*
- Full papers (8-10 pages)
- Short papers (6 pages)
Suitable for presenting work in progress, software prototypes or extended
abstracts of doctoral theses
- Project papers (6 pages)
General overviews of research projects
Page limits exclude references.
All papers must be written in English and formatted according to the
CEUR-WS style proceedings guidelines.

All submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two members of the
Program Committee and evaluated according to relevance, originality,
significance, soundness, and clarity. The review process will be inspired
by Open Science reviewing principles.
Accepted papers will be published in the CEUR-WS Proceedings in the AIxIA
series, indexed by Scopus. At least one author of each accepted paper must
attend the workshop and present the work.

- Paper submission deadline: July 1, 2026
- Notification of acceptance: July 31, 2026
- Camera-ready deadline: August 26, 2026
- Workshop at AIxIA 2026: October 6–9, 2026
The workshop will include paper presentations, an invited talk, and a panel
discussion.
