Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the upcoming ReAGENT-SW Workshop: Realising Autonomous Generative Agents for the Semantic Web, that will take place at ISWC 2025.
Dates:
* Submission deadline: Rolling
* Notification: October 25th, 2025
* November 3, 2025 (full-day workshop)
* November 6, 2025 (follow-up session)
Location: ISWC 2025, Dagstuhl-style Workshop
Workshop page: https://reagent-sw.github.io
Workshop Overview
The original vision of the Semantic Web placed autonomous agents at its core—agents capable of discovering, reasoning over, and acting upon structured, linked data to assist users, automate tasks, and enable knowledge-driven decision-making.
Despite significant progress in ontologies, reasoning, and Linked Data, such agents remain rare. The rise of generative AI offers new opportunities for communication, abstraction, and collaboration, but often lacks the semantic grounding and autonomy envisioned by the Semantic Web community.
ReAGENT-SW brings together researchers exploring how to realise autonomous generative agents grounded in semantics, reasoning, and knowledge representation. This Dagstuhl-style workshop emphasises discussion, collaboration, and community building over formal presentations.
Call for Participation
We welcome submissions in the form of:
* A 3-page expression of interest, or
* A paper, report, or presentation (published or unpublished) in PDF format.
Submissions will be lightly reviewed for relevance.
Note: Participants must be registered for the ISWC 2025 conference and workshops.
Topics of Interest Include (but are not limited to):
* Generative AI + Semantic Web + neuro-symbolic coordination
* Agent communication & semantic interoperability
* Knowledge graph–based planning and reasoning
* Human–agent interaction and hybrid intelligence
* Trustworthiness, explainability, and verification
* Embodied, situated, and multimodal agents
We look forward to your contributions and to building an active community around autonomous generative agents for the Semantic Web.
Join us at ISWC 2025 to exchange ideas, spark collaborations, and strengthen the ReAGENT-SW community!
Warm regards,
Ora Lassila, Valentina Tamma and Ilaria Tiddi
