** Location **

The symposium will be held in the beautiful Rocca dei Papi—the castle of Montefiascone overlooking the town and the entire Lake Bolsena.
The symposium will happen during the 65th Montefiascone Wine Festival, the main event of the town with a long tradition rooted to the legendary figure of Johannes Defuk. There will be plenty to do in the evening, including historical parades, wine tasting, and good food. Additionally, there will be planned social activities (see below).
Montefiascone sits on the shores of Lake Bolsena, the largest volcanic lake in Europe. Its clear waters, beautiful beaches of black volcanic sand, and two islands make for a great setting for a summer vacation.

** Social Activities **

The social activities include:
  (i) a social dinner on the rooftop terrace of the most traditional restaurant of the town,
(ii) a boat tour of the islands of Lake Bolsena, with an excursion on Island Bisentina to visit its landmarks,
(iii) a tour of one of the most traditional wineries of the town.

We look forward to welcoming you to Montefiascone for an inspiring exchange of ideas at IRIS-AI!
