The International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications
(ISBRA) provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and results among researchers,
developers, and practitioners working on all aspects of bioinformatics and
computational biology and their applications. Submissions presenting original
research are solicited in all areas of bioinformatics and computational biology,
including the development of experimental or commercial systems. Topics of
interest include but are not limited to:

Biomarker discovery
Biomedical databases and data integration
Biomedical text mining and ontologies
Biomolecular imaging
Comparative genomics
Computational genetic epidemiology
Computational proteomics
Data mining and visualization
Genome analysis
High-performance bio-computing
Metagenomics
Molecular evolution
Molecular modeling and simulation
Pattern discovery and classification
Software tools and applications
Structural biology and drug discovery
Systems biology
AI and machine learning methods in Bioinformatics and Medical Information
Big Data Analytics in Biology and Medicine

PAPER SUBMISSION
Please submit extended abstracts (up to 12 pages in Springer LNCS format) via the
online submission system (https://easychair.org/conferences?conf=isbra2025).
Submission implies willingness of at least one author to register and present at the
symposium. The authors should choose one of the following tracks:

Track 1: Submit up to 12 pages in LNCS format for (i) publication of the extended
abstract in the Springer LNBI Proceedings and (ii) invitation to submit a 30%-
50%-extend version to ISBRA’24 special issues. The pending approval journals are
IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Journal of
Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua Science and Technology, Chinese
Journal of Electronics, Big Data Mining and Analytics or IEEE Journal of
Biomedical and Health Informatics.

Track 2: Submit up to 12 pages in LNCS format for (i) presentation at the
conference and (ii) invitation to submit a full-length paper to ISBRA’25 special
issues. The pending approval journals are Journal of Computational Biology,
Methods, Interdisciplinary Sciences-Computational Life Sciences, Quantitative
Biology, BMC Bioinformatics or BMC Genomics.
