The Service Oriented Computing Research group at the Services Science 
Institute at Tilburg University, The Netherlands, is seeking several 
highly motivated and dedicated PhD and Postdoc candidates to work on 
various European FP-7 research projects, including a Network of 
Excellence on Software Services (http://www.s-cube-network.eu/), and 
national research projects.

You will have the opportunity to work in an international environment 
and collaborate with and visit a number of high-profile researchers from 
universities and research institutes all over Europe.

The research projects focus on areas such as: service composition, 
service auditing and compliance, business process management, service 
analysis and design methodologies, service adaptability and dynamic 
services, and service-enabling legacy systems.

Candidate Profile
=================

Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- An excellent Masters degree (avg. over 8/10) or a solid PhD in 
Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field.
- Very good programming skills (e.g., Java, J2EE, ..).
- Strong formal background (discrete mathematics & logic).
- Very good communication and writing skills in English.
- Knowledge and experience within the fields of web-services, SOA, 
distributed computing, business processes, and software development 
skills will be highly rated.

Candidates should be able to work in a collaborative environment under 
strict deadlines with a strong commitment to achieving research excellence.

Salaries & Conditions
=================

For PostDocs we offer an appointment from 30 to 36 months. Depending 
upon qualifications and age, the monthly gross salary could range up to 
3,500 Euro per month. The starting date is subject to negotiation.

For PhD candidates we offer an appointment of up to 48 months.  The 
salary starts at EUR aprox. 2.100,- gross per month in the first year 
and grows to EUR 2.558,- gross per month in the fourth year, based on a 
full-time employment. The starting date is subject to negotiation.

Both  PostDoc and PhD positions involve traveling and working together 
with several prominent research groups throughout  Europe in the context 
of S-Cube (in particular Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Greece).
