[DL] Postdoctoral/Research Fellow Position

Funding opportunities exist for one Postdoctoral/Research Fellowship in the School of Information and Communication Technology, Griffith University, Australia. 

Successful candidate will work on a project in knowledge representation and/or its application in the Semantic Web, funded by Australian Research Council (ARC). The investigators in this project include Dr. Kewen Wang, Prof. Rodney Topor and Prof. Grigoris Antoniou.

Candidates for Postdoctoral/Research Fellow should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics, logics, or related disciplines, preferably with an emphasis on ontologies, knowledge representation or semantic web. 

This position will be combined with Griffith University 2006 Fellowship Scheme (see GU PRF Scheme: http://www.gu.edu.au/or/grants/rtf/gu_prf_scheme_06.doc). 
 (i) Postdoctoral Fellowship applicants: Holders of a PhD awarded not more than 3 years prior to the closing date of 27 March 2006, or, applicants who have submitted their PhD thesis by the closing date are eligible to apply. Postdoctoral Fellow will be appointed within the salary range $53,481 to $57,559. Superannuation benefits are paid in addition to salary.
(ii) Research Fellowship applicants:  Holders of a PhD awarded more than 3 years but not
 more than 6 years prior to the closing date of 27 March 2006, are eligible to apply. Research Fellow will be appointed within the salary range $62,733 to $74,497. Superannuation benefits are paid in addition to salary.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 2-3 years. 

PhD scholarships are also available and will be offered for a period of 3 years.
