Nowadays, many scholars and experts are devoting them to the work of applying the Semantic Web theories into specific practice, while in turn improving the Semantic Web standards and technologies according to the demand in practice. The theme of Joint Conference of the Sixth Chinese Semantic Web Symposium (CSWS2012) and the First Chinese Web Science Conferen<var id="yui-ie-cursor"></var>ce (CWSC2012) is “Web Science and Semantic Web”. Web Science
involves full scope of Web-related researches and applications, and it integrates the Web-related interdisciplinary researches into a new field of scientific research. This joint conference aims to promote expansions from the Semantic Web to Web Science, and then to discuss the core technologies of Next Generation Web, such as the Web and swarm intelligence, a new generation of semantic search, semantic and Web security and so on. Accepted papers will be distributed to conference attendees and also published by Springer, which will be indexed by EI Compendex.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1.Data Management
Linked and Open Data
Smart Knowledge Sharing and Mash-up
Data Management in Future Web

2.Application Development
Semantic Web Applications
Semantic Web and Interdisciplinary Research

3.Computing Services
Web Scale
