Post-doc position open in Brazil

A post-doc position is open at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, for 
research on formal models and algorithms for planning under uncertainty 
expressed through logical languages (planning problems with imprecision 
in the probabilities of transition between states). The project  must 
produce software related to the investigated issues and it will be 
available to the research community.

Candidates must have excellent research record in the interface between 
AI planning, particularly if connected with expressive languages and if 
possible with description logics, and probability theory. Programming 
skills are also necessary. An interview with candidates may be requested 
after initial selection.

The project is to begin, no later than April 2009. Candidates must send 
a short CV,  list of publications and two letters of recommendation, by 
email, to Prof. Marcelo Finger (mfinger at ime.usp.br),  until March 1 2009.
